But how  it is all fine and dandy for you  whizz kids but us thickies struggle with stuff like this

Ah ok sorry..
When writing a new post at the bottom of the box there should be an "attach file" link just click on it 
This will then open a new box and then you can browse to the file (piccy) you want to upload
